Amongst global names such as Osram & Sylvannia, PhotonStar was nominated for and won more awards than any other lighting company.

TMobile Fast Growth Business Awards

At a gala dinner in Grosvenor Sqaure, London on 14th April 2010, the annual Fast Growth Business Awards took place.

The awards now in their 4th successful year, have made their name identifying businesses on the cusp of the big time. After receiving hundreds of outstanding submissions across 13 categories, a panel of industry experts looked for evidence of the following:

• Growth and success with increases in turnover and profit
• improved market share
• customer satisfaction
• potential for impressive future growth

PhotonStar were nominated as finalists for the green business of the year - a category acknowledging the eco credentials of both products/services as well as business operations and ethos.

It has just been announced that PhotonStarLED Ltd. has been nominated as a finalist for the prestigious Lighting Design Awards. PhotonStar's SmartWhite has been selected as a finalist in the section "Light Sources and Controls". Coordinated by the Institute of Lighting Engineers and sponsored by Lighting magazine, it is the biggest and most prestigious award for architectural lighting in the world. An independent panel of judges selected from industry specialists will review the nominations, and winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Thursday 11th March at the London Hilton, Park Lane.

Innovation Future Zone

The KTN / TSB Innovation Future Zone featured the 20 most siginifcant building products of 2010 at EcoBuild. The SmartNemesis by PhotonStar was the only lighting product to make the showcase final. The winning products were each displayed in the Innovation Future Zone at the biggest gathering of Architects in the world - Ecobuild where over 50,000 delegates visited the show.

Awards Ceremony took place on Tuesday 9th June 8pm at the Hotel Kempinski, Hamburg. PhotonStar came 2nd place in the Awards.


Promoting Cohesion between Infrastructure and Real Estate towards Sustainable Communities

BEX 2009 is an action oriented forum which places business meetings, not PowerPoint presentations at its heart. A programme of pre-selected, mutually agreed one-to-one meetings are combined with an outstanding conference and numerous other networking opportunities. PhotonStarLED has been awarded the Test Valley Business Award for Innovation and Technology.

At a gala dinner on 20th April 2009, James Mckenzie - founder of PhotonStarLED, proudly received the award on behalf of the team at PhotonStar. Presented by Ray Mears, this award acknowledges the ground breaking technological developments, innovative flair and commercial success that the company has achieved since it's inception in 2007.

After receiving the award James said "As an engineer, I am pleased to be part of a team that designs and manufactures a product that will never end up in landfill.

We genuinely assist businesses and individuals in reducing both electricity costs, maintenance costs and their carbon footprint, in the meantime creating high quality, green collar jobs here in the UK. Despite tough economic times, PhotonStar continues to experience 20% to 30% month on month growth - an achievement that is a result of excellent technological development and the cooperation of a hard working and specialized team."
