  • Scandic Grand Central Hotel, Stockholm

     

    The Scandic Grand Central, Stockholm’s most talked about hotel, opened in November 2011 following a large redesign on the Grand City Palace. 

    • Romsey Dental Care

      Romsey Dental Care, situated on Station Road, is an award-winning, ultra-modern dental practice and cosmetic studio. With an ethos about providing exceptional customer service, the practice gained recognition of their high standards in 2009 with the British Dental Association (BDA) Good Practice Award; and more awards followed.

      • Arcola Theatre

         

        In an attempt to become the world’s first carbon-neutral theatre, the Arcola Theatre in Hackney has recently undergone a complete refurbishment. A key element of the renovation was to install high quality LED lighting supplied by PhotonStar.

        • Didn’t receive a Christmas card from us this year?

           

          PhotonStar has chosen not to send paper Christmas cards this year as part of our sustainability policy - but it is not "greenwash". We chose, along with other local companies and volunteers, to give a Christmas “gift” to a local family instead. Sustainability is, we believe, also about supporting the local community that you live in. Whilst we continue to create more and more UK based jobs, at this “time of goodwill to all men” the money that we would have spent sending on cards was spent on helping a very deserving family in Fareham at Christmas time.
           

          • Rocksalt Restaurant, Folkestone

            Rocksalt Restaurant and Bar is situated in the corner of the tidal harbor between a listed brick viaduct and cobbled street with a wide open glazed wall facing onto the harbor and the English Channel beyond. 

            • PhotonStar LED lighting used in new Google offices

               

              The general lighting fixtures in the new Google offices, which are based in London, were provided by PhotonStar LED.

              • BarclayHouseLondon B&B

                PhotonStar were invited to supply an efficient, high quality lighting solution as part of a partial, major renovation in a private residential London home, in which a few rooms are offered to seasoned travellers visiting London and staying on a B&B basis.

                 

                The design brief: wrap award-winning British design around the Victorian charm of a home built in 1872 to create an informal elegance and peaceful atmosphere in a quiet residential neighbourhood.

                • Kensington Place

                  PhotonStar were invited to supply a low energy lighting solution for a high-end refurbishment and extension project at Kensington Place, a Notting Hill town house for use in residential letting. The specifier (Jonathan Ashe Architects) highlighted the benefits of using PhotonStar products to the landlord based on three key factors:

                   

                  • Part L Building Regulations
                  • Low Maintenance
                  • Reputation

                  • Berry Theatre

                    PhotonStar were invited to supply a low energy lighting solution for the Berry Theatre, located in Hedge End, Southampton. 

                     

                    A theatre lighting project is extremely unique due to the following problems that need to be addressed:

                     

                    • Maintenance
                    • DMX Controlled
                    • Dimming (single system)

                    • Pencreek House

                      PhotonStar were invited to supply an efficient, high quality lighting solution as part of a major renovation and extension at Pencreek House in Falmouth, Cornwall.

                       

                      The emphasis was on a high-end domestic application, requiring the lighting to operate with the minimum of fuss to the user and to take advantage of the flexible use of space.
