For the second consecutive year, Southampton based PhotonStar Technology Ltd., part of PhotonStar LED Group plc, have been recognised amongst global competition for “Light Source Product of the Year”. Coordinated by the Lighting Association, the Lighting Industry Awards were presented at a gala dinner on 7th July 2011. Industry peers from government, energy companies and universities examined the entries to decide the final winners.
Fenella Frost, (Marketing Director for PhotonStar LED Group plc) had been invited to present “Lighting in Carbon Neutral Building Design” at the Lighting Association annual conference running up to the awards. The module was up against a number of other market leading and innovative products from all over the world. The SmartWhite SLLE is one of PhotonStar’s new range of general lighting modules (recently launched at EuroLEDs 2011) based on established technology used in the company’s own luminaires. It will provide the advanced features of the highly regarded SmartWhite technology to OEMs, providing an intelligent, highly efficient, white colour tuneable, LED light source that provides the high colour quality & control suited to innovative, demanding and creative interior illumination grade applications.”
